Himalayan Salt Lamps are Big Chunks of Himalayan Salt that are chiseled & have a hole inside the bottom for a bulb, like this one. Or, a basket full of smaller pieces with a light bulb in the center like this one.

They have a beautiful pinkish-orange glow that is so soothing.

When purchasing a Himalayan Salt Lamp, make sure it is pure food grade Himalayan Salt & not made from rock salt.

When I first heard of Himalayan Salt Lamps & their benefits, I had to have one. I liked it so much that I bought one for every room. I even bought one for the powder room because I loved the warm glow that it put out. It also made the room smell of salt air! (Think Beach)

    YES! I LOVE my sea salt lamp! I have it on the table next to the chair I usually sit in my living room and turn it on whenever I have a headache or feel like my asthma is acting up, or when I just need to chill. It’s my new favorite thing!

      Awesome! I leave mine on all the time except for the ones in the bedroom. I leave them on during the day with the door closed & turn them off when we go to bed. I like it very dark.

        Thank you for this great information! You said you leave yours on all the time (except at night in bedrooms)… do you leave them on even when you are not home? I would like to do that, but I am gone most of the day due to work and I am curious if it is a fire risk to have them going while I am not there to monitor them. Thanks again!

          You are welcome! I do leave mine on all day. I am a stay at home mom, but I am gone a lot during the day. I don’t even think about it anymore. I honestly don’t think it’s any different than leaving alarm clocks plugged in or any other device. That being said, if you are unsure about it, just turn them on when you get home & leave them on until bedtime. We went on vacation recently, & I left them on, (didn’t even think about turning them off). Luckily, everything was fine. I do think the most important time to have them on is when you are there anyway. Close to where ever you spend the most time on electronic devices or watching TV. Hope this helps!
