Paleo, AIP Friendly, Whole 30, Keto
This Paleo Smoked Salmon Dip Recipe is so easy to make & can be whipped up in a matter of minutes. Perfect for last-minute get-togethers. And if you don’t have any smoked salmon, just sub some wild-caught canned salmon. You can’t go wrong either way. I usually have most of these ingredients on hand anyway.
A healthy alternative to regular Smoked Salmon Dip. If you are on a Low Carb or Keto Diet, use fresh veggies such as sliced cucumbers or celery sticks.
Ingredients:
- 6-8 oz. wild-caught smoked salmon or (1 can wild-caught salmon with a few drops of Liquid Smoke)
- ½ cup kites hill cream cheese
- 1 tsp chopped fresh dill or 1/4-1-2 tsp. dried dill
- 1 Tbs. Green Onions Sliced
- 1 Tbs. Capers
- 1 tsp mustard (not AIP) to taste (For AIP use fresh grated horseradish if you can find it)
- 1/4 organic garlic powder (to taste)
- 2 tsp. organic lemon juice
- Sea salt to taste
- Optional: Red Pepper Flakes to taste (not AIP)
Directions:
-
Add all ingredients to mixing bowl and mash & stir with fork to combine.
-
Taste and adjust for salt.
-
Garnish with dill, capers or lemon slices.
- Serve with Sliced Cucumbers (for Keto & AIP), Simple Mills Crackers, Plantain Chips (AIP) etc…
Notes:
- If you don’t have smoked salmon use 1 can of regular salmon & a few drops of liquid smoke. If you don’t have any liquid smoke, don’t worry, it’s still delish!
- For AIP sub Coconut Cream for the cream cheese.
- If you don’t like it as chunky, put everything in the food processor & process to desired consistency.
