Everybody loves Hot Wings, well except me. I have never been a wing fan. I’m not sure why they just always seem gross to me. Maybe it’s just because I’ve only seen them in restaurants & they just never appealed to me.
Well, unfortunately for me, my family loves them. We have to go somewhere every weekend to get wings. I can’t stand it because I know how they are cooked & also know what’s in the nasty sauces they serve.
So I decided to make Hot Wings myself. Paleo-style. This way I know my family is getting what they want, but this way I know it’s healthy. And to be honest, I kinda like them now. Don’t tell anyone! I think it was a mental thing anyway.
Just knowing that they are organic & the ingredients are clean, helps!
These are perfect for Entertaining! Especially Super Bowl Parties!!!
I like to make my Paleo Artichoke Hummus as well as my Easy Paleo Guacamole to serve with this to get a few more veggies in while we are snacking.
Ingredients:
- 1-2 lbs. Organic Wings (or however many you want) I made a couple of lbs. (I found mine at Costco)
- Franks Red Hot Sauce
- sea salt
- organic garlic powder (optional)
- organic onion powder (optional)
- Primal Kitchens Ranch Dressing (for dipping) *
- EVOO 1-2 Tbs. or 2 Tbs. Melted Butter or Ghee
- organic celery sticks (for dipping)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400*
- Put wings in a large stainless steel bowl.
- Drizzle with EVOO or butter & mix to coat wings.
- Sprinkle with sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder & generously with Franks Red Hot Sauce to coat wings thoroughly.
- Place in a casserole dish(s) or on a baking sheet & bake for 30 min or until browning then flip & then bake until brown & crispy. About another 20-30 min. depending on how crispy you like them. (You can line the baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.)
- Serve with celery sticks & a side of Franks Red Hot Sauce & Primal Kitchens Ranch Dressing for dipping! Or serve it up with a couple of sides & call it Dinner!

Tip*
- Cook on the grill for an even better flavor or smoke them on the smoker!
These are so easy to whip up for an afternoon. Yes, they do take a while to cook, but prep time is so quick & easy. Basically, hands-off after that. My husband said “These are the best wings I’ve ever had. Can you make these every weekend?” I would say that is a win-win for both of us! I hope you enjoy!
