Hi Reneé,
Please also note that cayenne should be excluded for AIP; there are so many restrictions, it’s sad. 😕 What is the purpose of the coconut oil? I unfortunately have an intolerance to coconut, which sucks because I love it and used to us it for so many recipes. Just wondering if I should sub another oil or leave it out altogether? Sounds amazing…can’t wait to try it!
Hi Crystal, I thought I had mentioned cayenne wasn’t AIP. Thanks for letting me know. I’ll correct that. Here is an article on the Benefits of Coconut Oil. Since you are intolerant I would just leave it out or use another oil. Coconut oil helps with metabolism & better absorption. Let me know how you like the tea! My daughter & I (we think) had the “virus” back in February. This tea helped so much.
Posting this comment from one of my readers: “this is amazing, I have asthma and when i get sick it takes me a long time to get better but with this tea it takes less time and i don’t have to go to the doctors. Plus it tastes amazing. I recommend it ?”
Great Post! Thanks for including my Recipe for Lemon Turmeric Ginger Tea!
Can you make this as iced tea?
I’ve never tried it as iced tea. It definitely mixes better warm. As far as the benefits, I would think it would be better warm, but I have no scientific data to back that up. I’ve always heard to drink warm lemon water 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach to stimulate the liver, so I would think the same applies. If the only way you would drink it is iced, then I would do it however makes it easier to consume.
Great formula- I’ll be downing these most every day, beginning today –
Thanks! I’m having mine as I write this. It helps me to wake up & clear my sinuses not to mention all the other health benefits!
