Sauteed Garlic Green Beans is a simple side dish & is one of my favorite ways to cook green beans.  You saute them whole with EVOO, garlic, onions (optional) & sea salt.  The green beans keep their color & are crispier, plus it takes no time at all to whip them up!

That’s my favorite part! And best of all you can use either fresh or frozen green beans. So easy.

When I was growing up my mother & grandmother always canned green beans. While these are great to have all year I still prefer them this way. 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 lbs fresh or frozen whole Organic Green Beans
  • 1 Tbs. Organic EVOO  or Bacon Grease
  • 1 Tbs. minced garlic 
  • 1/4- 1/2 cup of chopped onions (optional)
  • Sea Salt to taste

Tools:

Directions:

  • Preheat pan to Med-Med High.
  • Add EVOO or Bacon Grease (do not let oil smoke) 
  • Add garlic & onions. saute until onions are translucent.
  • Add green beans
  • Saute stirring frequently until crisp-tender. Just a few minutes.
  • Add sea salt to taste (I like to add the salt at the end) 
  • Serve

Tip:

  • Instead of EVOO, chop & fry up a few pieces of bacon & use the bacon grease to saute in. Toss the bacon pieces back in with the green beans when sauteing.

  4. Add green beans & add sea salt to taste (I like to add the salt at the end)
